VOLUNTEERS - We are desperate for
volunteers to help out at our events. Event volunteers are needed to bait
hooks, untangle rods and helping kids learn how to fish. This is a perfect way
to earn some high school volunteer hours but anyone is welcome to help out.
Events are a couple of hours long and usually held late in the day Sunday out in
West Broward. If you are interested please email and we will notify you
when we are hosting an event.
DONATIONS - We have an ongoing need for
equipment and prizes. You can send a donation via Paypal or mail a Bass
Pro gift card. For smaller donations you are encouraged to purchase a Guy
Harvey raffle ticket.
OUR MISSION IS TO PRESERVE AND PROMOTE THE SPORT
OF FISHING BY TEACHING KIDS HOW TO FISH
Our main focus is THE KIDS FISHING CLUB which hosts events around South
Florida. But we also work with the Boy Scouts and other organizations
interested in kids fishing and provide consulting services to municipalities
and organizations nationwide interested in starting kids fishing clubs.
THE KIDS FISHING CLUB
We've participated in
kids fishing tournaments and derbies all over our region and wanted to offer
something different. We aren't against competitions, fact is you will
find my son participating in nearly every tournament in our area. But
along the way we've learned that competitive events are no place for children
to go to learn.
We started The Kids Fishing Club to teach kids how to fish.
Each of our monthly events includes hands on education where kids learn how to
cast, tie a fishing knot or identify different species of fish. We keep
every event fresh by always featuring a new type of bait, lure or technique. We
teach responsible angling, conservation and many other important topics.
Our events are not competitive and fun for the whole family. Kids of all
ages are welcome. And yes, parents can fish! Kids receive fishing
rods and a tackle box to keep and we provide all the hooks, tackle and bait
needed to fish. Drinks and snacks are also included. Events are
$15 per child and parents can learn for free. We meet once a month on
Sunday mornings and choose a different park nearly every month. As we
how have over 500 members we kindly request that you email with any questions
or requests to join the club. Unfortunately, we just don't have the time
to take registrations over the phone.
TO JOIN THE KIDS FISHING CLUB PLEASE EMAIL
kidsfishing@kidsfishing.org and include the parents name, cell
phone, child's name and age, city of residence and how you heard about our
club. We will confirm receipt of your email within 30 days and you will be added to our email list and will receive notifications
about our future events.
SPONSORS ARE NEEDED
As little as $100 can sponsor drinks & snacks or
bait & tackle for a single event. We are also always looking for products
and gift certificates to feature our raffle which we feature at the end of every
event. Sponsors are to be listed on our website, event emails and flyers
and should consider sponsoring our events as a means of advertising for your
business.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
We need volunteers to help out at our events. Anyone can
volunteer but we are especially looking for high school students eager
to earn volunteer service hours.

We are qualified instructors for troops interested in earning the Boy Scouts
Fishing Merit Badge, Cub Scout Fishing Pin and Cub Scouts Fishing Belt Loop.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES / YOUTH GROUPS / CAMPS / RELIGIOUS
GROUPS / ETC
Contact us if you are interested in hosting a family fun event just for your
group. A kids fishing birthday party would be a blast for your guests. We
are available to teach your camp or youth group a few things about fishing. Fishing is fun and a great way to
bond with your kids. Call us for help with your next event.

We work closely with municipalities and organizations all over the country
that are interested in starting a similar program. Please contact us if

BACK TO SCHOOL - SUPPLY DRIVE - 2011
October 9, 2011 - Our first annual school supplies drive was a success!
We asked those attending our Kids Fishing Club event at Vista View Park in
Davie Florida to bring school supplies. We collected over $300 worth supplies
to benefit The Broward Education Foundation. The donated items will greatly
benefit the students and teachers of Broward County Public Schools. Thank you
to everyone that participated and helping to make a difference in our
community. The Broward Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. You may

Congratulations
to our spokesman, Ethan Rogge. On January 7th 2011 Ethan was
honored with The Barnum Award for creating The Kids Fishing Club.
In conjunction to his award, Kidsfishing.org gave away over 60 free tickets to
The Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus in Miami.
