- WHEN DOES THE CLUB MEET
- The Kids Fishing Club will meet about once a month, on
Sunday mornings,
in and around West Broward County. Only club member can
attend, but anyone can become a member. The exact time and location of our events are sent only to club

- WHAT AGE CAN JOIN THE CLUB
- Kids of any age are allowed to participate.
Current club members range in age from under 3 years old to 13.

- DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FISH
- Kids of any level of experience are invited to
participate. Existing club members include kids that have never
fished learning side-by-side with kids that have been fishing for many
years. Even the parents tell me that they have learned a lot from
club events.

- DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN BAIT
- Every event will feature a different type of bait,
lure, or fishing technique. You are always welcome to bring your own fishing tackle,
but every event will focus on a different technique and all the bait and

- HOW CAN 3YR OLDS LEARN
SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH 13YR OLDS
- Our members vary widely in age and skill level.
Our current members range from 3 years old to over 13. And
although many of our members have been fishing for years most are
learning to fish for the first time with the help of our club.

- In order to keep our events informative and
challenging for everyone we continuously evaluate our members based on
their skills. This allows us to divide our members and teach them
skills they don't already know, to keep them from getting bored with the
club. Once a member masters all the skills of a particular rank
they are awarded with a beautiful framed certificate that they can
proudly display for years to come. Member ranks include minnow,
bream and bass. Our ranks are based upon the members skills and
have nothing to do with their age. Click here for more information

- WE MISSED SEVERAL EVENTS, CAN WE STILL
JOIN
- We welcome new members at any time. We only ask that
you arrive early to your first event to complete registration and go over the
rules. And since we have new members joining all the time we make sure
that everyone is learning something and catching fish.

- HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN
- Club membership is $15/child at your first event and $10/child each
event after that. Prices are subject to change. Adults are free.
This money is used towards the purchase of fishing tackle, lures, hooks,
weights, bobbers, tackle boxes, drinks, snacks, and award that need to be
purchased to keep the club going. We have been very fortunate to receive
many items donated by sponsors but many items still need to be purchased out
of pocket.
CAN PARENTS FISH TOO
YES! Parents can fish too. We would not
have it any other way. Parents are allowed to fish as long as you are being
attentive to your child and they are learning how to fish. Parents
should bring their own fishing rod.
